What
parents told us about baby blankets.
Since
the creation of Little Big Foot we have received many letters from enthusiastic
customers. We thought these extracts would be useful if you are still
not convinced about the safety aspects of our sleeping bags.
"
.......I had never heard about the dangers of soft bedding and baby
blankets until one day as I was checking on my little girl, I found
her trapped under her blanket. This was fortunately a light blanket
and she was fine but after that I started checking on her more often.
This was my first child and I did not know what else to use so I kept
on using her baby blanket. My girlfriend then moved to Europe and told
me about these sleeping bags. My second child never slept in a blanket
since then!....."
"I
read your article in the newspaper and I just had to write you. It
just made so much sense to me that blankets are dangerous for babies.
I work in a day care and we have been using baby blankets for as long
as I can remember. What was said in the article about the fact that
some people still doubt the dangers of using blankets is true! I tried
to bring up the subject to my boss and she did not think it was necessary
to change anything because nothing happened in the past. I think you
are right, people need to be educated, not only parents but also care
takers like us......"

"......
I wish I had found out about this concept for my children. Did I use
baby blankets? Yes! Only because I did not have an alternative to
them! I am now a grandmother and I did buy one of these sleeping bags
for my grandson. My daughter in law was very surprised that I knew
about this ( I had read your article) and she quickly gave up the
expensive baby blanket she had bought for him. This baby blanket is
actually a nice decorating touch in the nursery but not in the crib!
"
"I
live in San Francisco and I saw one of your bags at Jean et Marie
on Clement. I had absolutely no idea what they were for, so when I
got the explanation, I went online and did some research. I find it
odd that all major department stores are still selling baby blankets
without warning their customers about the suffocation risks. Whenever
I shop for my baby I check out the bedding section and I always find
cribs with a pillow, a blanket, stuffed animals etc...customers should
be warned "
