Why a sleeping bag for your toddler? SIDS associations recommend the use of sleeping bags instead of blankets. Find out what some parents wrote about this concept. Blankets are dangerous in the crib: A child can easily become entangled in a blanket and suffocate. Our sleeping bags replace these blankets: Baby stays safe and warm, sleeps better, so you do too! Introduced in Europe about twenty years ago, baby sleeping bags also referred as sleep sacks in the United Kingdom, have become a necessity for all European mothers. They are worn over pajamas and once zipped cannot slip off the child's body. Wide at the bottom they allow freedom of movement for the legs.
A bed time routine, a securing object: When used regularly and without interruption, the baby sleeping bag becomes part of the bedtime routine. It is a securing object associated to home and sleep. Here is what one of our most loyal customers said about her daughter who is 15 months old: "She will not go to sleep out of the bag. Talk about a security blanket! She is attached to nothing else, only her bag. She never cries, neither when I put her down, nor when I wake her up. Shell only cry if someone else is watching her and I forget to tell them she MUST go to sleep in the bag." No more climbing out of the crib: The greatest thing about the sleeping bag and toddlers, is that it prevents them from climbing out of the crib. It will also prevent their legs from getting stuck in the railings. You can use the baby sleeping bag until your toddler is potty trained and ready to move to a junior bed.
